Graham and Sue Wood

Graham and Sue Wood built this "annexe" to a listed building in rural Herefordshire. They bought the land with an existing cottage and stables and proceeded to extend it with this lovely residence overlooking the Malvern Hills.

The construction method is timber frame with brick cladding.

Graham & Angela Youngman

Here is another example (shown in its early stages) of a 'des res' built in Woburn Sands, Bedfordshire. It is a Scandinavian style built on a sloping plot, which enabled them to have a lovely area of decking to the rear. It also has a very roomy basement.

It uses the Beco Wallform method, i.e. concrete poured into polystyrene formers, with brick facing. Great insulation, and G & A have to keep tapping the gas meter to make sure that it is still working. By the way, you don't have to be called Graham to join the ASB . . .

Michael & Patricia Bates

This property was purchased in a rual villege and demolished allowing for the building of this new 4 bed 3 bath house.

The construction method was brick and block on a slab foundation.

There is an archive of the building located at www.newhome-live.com
